shut up and look at the amazing animation. Who gives two shits where it came from or what style it is based after.

It’s still an amazingly animated cartoon with great designs and obviously a lot of love put into it.

I mean, can we take a minute here to just appreciate they use ink smears and splatters to accent the movements? The coloring and the lighting, the music and the fight scenes- this is amazing!

Also, this looks like a really cool AU, I can’t wait to see where it goes, I really hope they do more.

Uh, guys why are you complaining if this is “anime” IT’S FUCKING FANTASTIC. The fluidity of the animation and the creativity and love put into this scenario IS REALLY NICE. And INTERPRETATION AND ADAPTATION are important things that keep old familiar concepts fresh and new, like this.
